A new residential dining hallway!
A previous food court, Café 84 will be transformed into USC’s third dining hall that is formal. Another dining facility, Everybody’s Kitchen (EVK), will get a remodel plus the addition of the new grill station and a Starbucks!

Hahn Plaza (the area in the front of Tommy Trojan) is getting a makeover! The plaza has been enhanced with a brick that is beautiful and with the redesign of thePatsy and Forrest Shumway Water Fountain.
A home that is new Trojan Athletes!
The much opening that is anticipated of John McKay Center is fast approaching! Per year and a half into the making, the new athletic center and office complex will be starting its doorways to students and athletes this summer. The McKay Center will serve since the house for Trojan athletics and house a wide range of training facilities, including a practice football field within the basement degree!

Summer Olympics
The opening ceremony for the 2012 Olympics is coming this Friday! Whether you adore watching events that are individual team events, there’s something for every person.

There will be more than 30 athletes taking part in sports such as water polo, volleyball, and track representing the Trojan household. There will also be a number of present USC coaches who is going to be lending their coaching expertise during the Olympic games.
USC has a tradition that is long of Olympic athletes. From 1904 to 2008, there has been almost 400 athletes who either went to the university before, during, or after their Olympic competition. USC has sent more athletes to your Olympics than any other university and our athletes have gained a total that is grand of medals.
The Olympics certainly are a time for you cheer on our country’s athletes and also unite together on a global platform. The Expo Line is Finally Open!!!
After six years of expectation the expansion of Los Angeles’s light train train system (Los Angeles Metro) has finally exposed. Welcome Right Back, Pupils!
Summer is arriving at a close. Classes at USC resume next week. And probably the most things that are exciting happening on campus this week—our students are going in! Our campus is busy with students and families getting everything all set for the academic year. Welcome has officially begun week.
In between the necessary tasks like registering for the USCard , becoming acquainted with the libraries on campus, and choosing the dinner plan, students and parents have numerous events and tasks to select from during Welcome Week. There is certainly A welcome Reception specifically for moms and dads hosted by the USC Parents Council as well as the Office for Parent Programs to begin parents that are connecting all the resources our campus has to provide them. A lot of the academic departments on campus are holding open houses for students to come meet faculty, staff, and other current students inside their program. There is A work Study Job Fair and an Involvement Fair, as we find it’s important for USC students to lead a balanced life outside of the classroom in addition to inside the class room. During the evenings, you will find activities such as being a ‘Welcome Back Dance,’ a DJ performance, and— probably one of the most anticipated events— the Fall Carnival and Concert.
As you are able to imagine, it’s a serious time that is busy campus! It is exciting to see new freshmen going in and beginning to realize what their college experience might entail. It’s refreshing to see familiar faces returning to campus after studying abroad or working over the summer. Most of all, we’re excited to see our whole community back together in one place at the start of a brand new academic year.
